"I derive my motifs from social, cultural and historic events."
"My name is Emmanuel Atiemoh Yeboah. I was born in the Eastern Region of Ghana on July 3, 1956.
"I worked at a government survey department from 1981 to 1982. I was later asked to attend their Cartography College. Upon graduation I worked further, but due to lack of professional satisfaction, I left for Nigeria. That was in 1983.
"In Nigeria I worked with a sign-writing company. I started with the sign writing department but later changed to the artwork department. I polished my art skills in that department. I later worked with a company that exported African arts and crafts. We toured the whole of Nigeria buying goods. It was on one of these tours that I came across this type of artwork and fell in love with it. I suggested to the owner of the company that I make some.
"In 1993 I decided to come back home. I started working on my artwork. I sketch images on paper. I then assemble my working tools - glue, watercolor, and cloth. I sprinkle the watercolor on the paper to make it beautiful. I cut out all the sketches and make them into beautiful designs. Afterwards, I leave it to dry and then I frame it. I derive my motifs from social, cultural and historic events.
"I am a single father of two - a boy and a girl."
My art piece is a great addition to my ""african room"". My husband and I have visited Ghana and have other african pieces in our ""african room"". This piece, ""Mother's Burden"" captures my one greatest thought we had on our visit and that was how hard African women work. Trying to get daily tasks done with enormous objects on their heads and a baby on their back made me realize just how spoiled and easy I have it. I was also truly amazed how fast this piece arrived. It seemed like in no time after I had ordered it I had it on the wall. Thank you so much Emmanuel to sharing your craft with the world so we can appreciate more the African people. Blessings to you.
I really like the feeling of movement in ""Gye Nyambe."" It is hanging over the changing pad for my baby. From 1 month old, he has enjoyed looking at the bright colors & bold shape.

I just ordered this last week, after looking at many prints of this artist. I wanted them all. I got this for my dear friend, who is retiring soon and this print will be perfect for his office at home. It is so delightful and colorful. I just presented it to him and he loved it! ""By the Roadside"" Soon, I will order one for me, and a few others, by this artist, Emmanuel Atiamo Yeboa. What a wonderful addition to any home carrying love within one's heart! Thank you Emmanuel. I cannot believe how much more beautiful these are in person than on the website! Mr. Yeboa has a wonderful gift that I am thankful that he has shared so that I may have such gorgeous pieces as Trades and Problem of the Day in my home.
Excellent painting with mixed technique. Packaging was great with good delivery time. I would recommend artisan
Love the picture 'By the Roadside'. It is colorful and looks stunning in my dining room. Blessings.

FINDING YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.
BUST / CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.
Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.
Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.
Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.
Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.
Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.
Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.
