"Hi, I'm Julia Salinas Sánchez and I was born in Yanahuara, Arequipa on January 27, 1973. My artistic formation was acquired in the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes del Perú in Lima. But I liked art from the time I was a little girl. I especially liked to draw and, in school, my teachers always motivated me. I wanted to study architecture. But my sister, who knew how much I liked drawing and painting, took me to see the School of Fine Arts one day. I loved it so much that I kept going back until I became a student, and now, a teacher there. For me, the atmosphere was very familiar and it captivated me. I'll forever be a prisoner of this wonderful place.
