Elizabeth was born in Lima on September 25, 1979. She recalls how, as a child, she loved to paint and draw, but disliked copying. She created her own characters, which then became part of her fantasies. Elizabeth later applied to Peru's School of Fine Arts, where she learned about many different styles of art, including figurative art. During her last year at the school, Elizabeth specialized in her favorite style, abstract geometry.
"As an artist, one always tries to express what one feels, but I also want to interpret what I see," Elizabeth comments, adding that technique is very important to her. "I always try to improve, because I believe it is important to present things that are well-done. I believe that as an artist, it is important to master several techniques, from the abstract to the figurative.
"The hybrid process of our artistic reality is important. It is a consequence of external artistic influences, a mystified process. It enriches our search without alienating us from the reality in which we live, and nurtures our art. It is a reality we would like to change, from being mere spectators to reverse the roles and become producers.
"The most important aspect of art is sincerity, research, and the path one builds through the work one creates."
