Made Kurniati Andika

"My name is Made Kurniati Andika and I was born in Tabanan, Bali on November 6, 1976. Learning and making a painting is my hobby since I was still a child. When I was a child, I loved to draw the drawing from the storybook. My parents support my hobby and asked me to study at the school of art. Graduating from SMSR Denpasar, I continue my study to STSI Denpasar.

"World and the mighty of God become my inspiration in creating a painting. Most of the themes of my painting is the women’s beauty in their everyday life. Until now I have made five hundreds of paintings using mixed media on canvas.

"I have been in exhibition from 1995 until 2000 which are exhibition of gebyar SMK at Batubulan, Bali; 'Ngulat Taksu' exhibition at Sidik Jari Denpasar Museum, Bali; exhibition for celebrating 50 years of HMI at Korem Denpasar, Bali; exhibition with the conscripts of the 1996 at Art Center Denpasar, Bali; exhibition at Jakarta; 'Purnama' exhibition at Gabrig Gallery Sanur, Denpasar, Bali; exhibition of 'Woman Seeing Man' at Seniwati show space Ubud, Bali; duet exhibition of ‘Phenomenal Woman’ at Seniwati show space Ubud, Bali; exhibition with the conscripts of 1996 at STSI Denpasar, Bali; exhibition of 'Wanita Lihat Laki-laki' at Aman Kila Hotel Karangasem, Bali; exhibition at Biro Seni and Komunikasi Nusa dua, Bali; exhibition of 'Sekar' at Grand Mirage Nusa Dua, Bali; exhibition together with Seniwati Gallery at Hong Kong; 'Woman on Woman' exhibition at Seniwati Show space Ubud, Bali; exhibition of Dies Natalis XXXIII STSI Denpasar at STSI Denpasar, Bali; exhibition with Seniwati Gallery at Grand Hyatt Jakarta; ‘Demokrasi dalam Ekspresi Rupa’ exhibition at DPRD Kodya Denpasar, Bali; ‘Hitam Putih’ exhibition at Bali Museum and Art Center Denpasar, Bali.
