Hola. I studied fashion design and merchandising in college and, at the same time, I took courses in printmaking in the School of Fine Arts and with private teachers. My liking for art arose from my personal life and from the different artists that fate brought to me. I've always been in contact with art and design in one way or another, and I've participated in a number of collective exhibits.
"This is how I began to be known in art circles, and as time went by, I was commissioned to do several works to decorate different areas. Among my friends are a group of artists who specialize in prints. They have an engraving workshop to which I now belong, where we can make our own prints.
"The printmaking technique influences the range of colors that can be created. Each piece is elaborated by hand, and to give my works the effect of a watercolor, I apply the colors one by one in layers. These must coincide very precisely, or I discard the print. I use handmade cotton rag paper with a watermark from the workshop that certifies the quality.
"At the moment, I'd like to make my work better known, and for this purpose I'm working on a series of small format engravings accessible to everyone. However I still work in large format and, one day, I'd like to put fashion aside and dedicate myself exclusively to art.
"Every day I live in contact with my creative self to give feedback to the restlessness within me and to create new artistic proposals. My work presents my own vision of seeing things from a purely personal point of view. Curiously, this includes a mixture of fashion and its textures since this, too, is a part of my essence."
