"All I wanted to do was to become a professional painter. In order to have my dream come true, I moved to Bali..."
"My name is Narto and I was born in Central Java on August 8, 1972. I am the one in my family that loves art very much. My parents had me help them earning money for our living, which didn't leave much time to learn to paint. In the evenings, when there were no other chores to do, I used the time to learn painting in my room. All I wanted to do was to become a professional artist. In order to have my dream come true, I moved to Bali in 1992 where I learned from senior painters.
"Recently, Balinese people and their way of life inspire me in creating paintings with acrylic and oil on canvas. I have made some paintings but it is hard for me to promote my works because I need large amounts of money for that. On the other hand without promoting, there will be no selling. When I heard about Novica and their mission in promoting artists' art works into the whole world with no charge, I right away brought some of my paintings there to be promoted. I trust Novica in promoting my works."
