Atcharaporn Janjaiwong

"Hello and sawassdee kha. My name is Atcharaporn Janjaiwong but you can called me 'Aey,' my nickname. I was born on August 5, 1980. I have one brother who is just 14 years old. My father is a taxi driver and my mother has passed away. My father told me that my brother and I must have courage to live and be confident in our own way. He is my life advisor. He is the only one who looks after us and finds money to support the family.

"After finishing high school, I felt that I wanted to study art. The idea sprang from inside my mind. I love art and wanted to explore my vision in new areas. For this reason, I left home to study at the university in the School of Fine Arts, choosing printmaking as my major. I think this medium can present my free ideas through its varied materials and techniques.

"My plan for the future is to have my own shop. I also love woodworking, because my father's house is in Phrae province filled with plenty of teak and other very good hardwoods. Using my experience and the knowledge I obtained in college, I can design and craft pieces in wood. But the fine arts are my favorite, and my main focus. You know, in life you must have one thing that can bring in money to live on and one favorite thing that makes you feel fulfilled.
