"My passion for painting began when I was 12 years old. I was raised on a farm where we had a view of the rock known as the 'Finger of God.' I always liked to be in contact with nature and I wanted to have the landscape I admired inside my house.

"I scrawled with charcoal and pencil until I obtained the texture of the stone as well as my vision of it. And I finally achieved it. That was the beginning of my journey through the world of the art.

"I had a lot of doubts, for instance, the names of paints, types, techniques, these were questions that surfaced all the time. Then I had to begin to look for my colors. In nature, I found the chlorophyll of plants to color my canvases and I joined it with clay to create texture. I met a person who took me to the capital and showed me the ocean. And I discovered the beautiful women and enchantment of the sea. I began to paint them. My challenge was achieving nature's own tones, as they came from the sea. I developed a mixed media technique with low relief. I mix the paints to create my colors. I paint nature as she should always be – beautiful, colorful and filled with texture."
