"Art has always been a part of my life. When I was a little girl, my mother's ability for working with her hands inspired me to explore different art forms and techniques, and develop my own specialties.

"I began by designing dolls, and from then on my childhood was replete with experimentation so that my future as an artist was inevitable. My love for abstract art has always been there, yet I knew that to develop as an artist I needed to know the techniques.

"I began to study art in my adult years with a very experienced and talented artist. Although most of what I already knew I learnt on my own, it wasn't difficult to make the leap to abstract art and refine my style. After that, I devoted myself to painting on canvas as an abstract artist for eight years.

"I began painting children's themes out of personal necessity. I was searching for something different to decorate my daughters' bedroom (they were 10 years old at the time), and I decided to do it on my own. I returned to my own childhood and the dolls I used to draw, but this time inspired by my daughters. The paintings didn't need to be framed, they could be hanging on the wall to decorate the room.

"Thanks to my mother's dexterity with a needle and thread, we created hand-painted denim bags and school bags. These are creations that once were intended for my daughters with the idea of something new, exclusive and innovative, and that can be used at any age.

"Art is part of our daily life. My mother and I are constantly in a state of creation, breathing art and excited about innovation. The process of creativity restores our energies, renews our lives, modifies our routine and colors our lives.

"That is why I am very happy to show my work through Novica. I feel certain that my work will be well-accepted by a young audience in search for different art styles, filled with color and originality.

"As a mother and as an artist, I know there are very few artists that enjoy painting for children. I myself experienced the difficulty in finding such kind of art, so that's why I am here to fill in that void. I want to fill children's rooms with happiness, because they too have a right to have a bit of art in their lives!"
