Patcharee

"I'm Patcharee Bovonsawatdomrong and my nickname is Mink. I was born on August 18, 1977 in northern Thailand. I am cheerful and do not tell lies. I learned painting by myself and later graduated from college in fine art.

"When creating my artwork, I make sure to carefully execute every single step. I draw inspiration mostly from nature. I observe its patterns and dominant features, which radiate a sense of truth, of not being fake.

"Art allows independence. Its funny patterns can show how creativity and imagination can be so different from each other. I emphasize pattern and shapes. I mix watercolor and glue into something that I think is not boring.

"After college, I worked as a guide and stopped four years later, as I got married and needed to take care of my child. Now that my child has grown up, I take care of my parents and I can paint again."
