"My name is Ittikorn Chaingarm or Tik, and I was born in Bangkok on May 28, 1964. I'm married and have one son and one daughter. My parents have already passed away and I always miss them. My only sister is older than I am.
"Because I lived in a big city like Bangkok when I was young, I was a kid who wanted to try everything. I learned many things from many people around me.
"I have liked painting since I was young. After I graduated from secondary school, I studied at an art school in the capital before being admitted to the School of Fine Arts at Chiang Mai University. After receiving my degree, I worked in a ceramic company until I set up my own workshop. Although I started with a small budget, I eventually had 20 people working with me. But because of economic problems, I now have no one working with me. I don't even have the workshop.
"So I came back to doing what I love, which is painting. My work is not popular and I am not a famous artist but I just want to paint, to do something I love. I believe that painting can make me relax and can heal me. Today, I am very happy with my wife and my children.
"My most impressive memories are of when my children were born. My greatest challenge in life is to look after my kids and teach them to be good people. I want them to be successful in anything they want to be and I will always be their backup and support them as much as I can.
"I strive to live my life as a good person. I believe a person's art work can tell who he or she is. My work arises from my feelings and I pass them on through all of my paintings. I think Novica is a place that opens the door to this big world."
