Phong was rescued from the streets of Bangkok as a baby elephant. He now enjoys living in Northern Thailand at the Thai Elephant Conservation Center. Phong is highly intelligent, and a fast learner. Phong's true genius lies perhaps more with music; in the Orchestra he plays xylophone with great verve and innovation. He will have a solo on the Orchestra's second CD. His painting style is not as dramatic as other members of the Lampang Elephant Art Academy, yet the delicacy of his primarily vertical lines appeals to many collectors.
