Sanchez

Isidro Sánchez More was born in Catacaos-Piura in October of 1981. Trained in the Escuela de Bellas Artes, he describes his work as figurative expressionism. Sánchez has worked as an artist since 1999. He says he strives to transmit the customs of Peru and its people through his work.

"I would like to think that my paintings motivate people to visit my homeland. I find inspiration in my people, and in the beauty of women. My themes are expressionist, personal, and deal with our customs. I paint with total tranquility in the plenitude of my village, beneath shady locust trees with the pure air of the countryside. In this way, I paint with happiness. The drawing is the most important part for me, and then the colors are born of total spontaneity.
