Unggul

Unggul was born in Solo on September 2, 1974 as the second of three children. His father, a university lecturer in Java, gives great support to the process of Unggul's artistry.

After studying in a Java university with a major in textile design, Unggul moved to Bali in 1997 and focused on the art of painting. He never follows his "mood," in a painting, but rather perseveres until the desired composition is achieved.

"I think Novica is a positive influence on the artistic world, enabling artists to create many more works of art for the people around the world to appreciate," he says.

Unggul has participated in several collective exhibitions, including one celebrating 50 years of Indonesian Independence in 1995. In 2001, he won the Indonesian Art Award.
