"My name is Peera Bangkae but friends call me Egg. I was born on February 18, 1970 in Kamphaeng Phet province. My father runs a business and my mother is a homemaker. I am the second of seven siblings.
"I do really love art, ever since I was a little kid. I had a chance to study art in high school and in 1988, I was admitted to Chiang Mai University in the Fine Art Faculty.
"I used to have a steady job at a big company, but I quit because I knew it wasn't the right job for me. Now I spend all of my time to painting. My work is related to Thai culture and tradition, specifically in the style of Lanna (northern Thailand).
"My goal is to lead a happy life with my family, getting along well with other people, and create art works that reflect society. The most risky thing I've done in my life is walking through New York alone at night, after visiting an art exhibit. The most amazing thing in my life is my daughter, who I saw being born.
"I always keep an eye on politics, society and everything around me. I use my work to connect them to people.
"I have known about Novica for a while, but because I was doing a different kind of work I didn't have the opportunity to make contact. Now that I'm devoting all of my time to painting, I thought it would mean a good opportunity if I were to contact Novica – and I am so glad I did!
"I would like to tell everybody that we know the problems in our society and please help as much as you can. All I can do now is to bring awareness through my paintings, so people may know after seeing my work."
