"My name is Made Tinggal and I was born in an art family in Bali on October 26, 1970. I learned to make paintings under the guidance of my father, who was one of the famous wayang-style painters. I have been learning to paint since I was in elementary school, and continued on to the SMSR Denpasar Art Painting Department during four years.

"My friend and I decide to established the young fine art foundation called 'Sanggar Seni Rupa Poleng Kesiman.' The main intention of this foundation was to promote, improve the quality and help market art works by the members.

"In creating painting I use mixed media on canvas and oil on canvas. Expressing my ideas on canvas is one of my hobbies.

"Balinese culture and everyday life become my inspiration. Most of the themes of my paintings are all activity that touches my feelings, visualized into mixed media on canvas.

"I have been exhibiting from 1991 until 1999. These were at SMSR Batubulan, Bali; exhibition with the group of 35 at Denpasar Museum, Bali; at Pesona Jimbaran, Bali; exhibition with the conscripts of SMSR, Bali; at Bebek Mas Kuta, Bali; exhibition with Sanggar Poleng at Bali Museum, Bali; at Darga Art Gallery Sanur, Bali; at Kubu Bali Hotel, Karangasem, Bali; at Art Center Denpasar, Bali; at Bali Hyatt Hotel Sanur, Bali; exhibition with Expresi'96 at Liby Gallery-Denpasar, Bali; at Taman Festival Bali Sanur, Bali; at Sahadewa Gallery."
