Born in Lima on November 27, 1975, Victor Aldana was drawn to art from childhood. "I was fascinated by everything that was colorful, and I painted landscapes with tempera," he recalls. "After high school, I was admitted to the school of fine arts and there I dedicated myself entirely to painting.
"I paint abstracts because I'm fascinated with everything about contrasts and colors, and the creation of certain harmonies between them. My first inspiration came from cities, but today I work with pure color and its contrasts.
"When I stand before a white canvas, I apply different colors to different areas. Then, little by little, I discover their harmony as though it comes from inside me. In this way, I express my feelings to the world.
"I get a real satisfaction from working in the field of art, and want to continue with this passion I feel for my painting. I hope you like my work. It is inspired by my Peruvian culture."
